The Departments of English and History at the Catholic University of America (Washington D.C.) seek to make an appointment at the assistant or associate professor level specializing in 20th-century Irish literary and cultural history, with the ability to teach a range of courses in Modernist literature and adjacent fields. The departments are seeking a candidate whose research is deeply invested in Irish history and politics, including specialties in religion and literature. Ph.D. expected at time of appointment.
