The Department of History at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for the Paul H. and Doris Eaton Travis Chair in Modern American History. This position is open to full professors and advanced associate professors. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and have a strong record of research and publication. They must also give evidence of a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates’ research may be in any area of U. S. History since 1865, but special consideration will be given to those scholars with research interests in environmental history and Western American history.
