The Department of History of the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in American Environmental History to begin August 16, 2012. The successful candidate's courses will include upper-level and graduate courses in the field of specialization as well as the appropriate half of the U.S. history survey. The Department and University emphasize excellence in teaching as well as scholarship. Ph.D. must be in hand by time of appointment.
