The History Department at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in African American history, starting in the fall semester of 2012. Responsibilities include teaching courses in African American history and United States history surveys as well as participation in the Africana Studies Minor. Ph.D. required and teaching experience preferred. Please be advised that the successful applicant will be required by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents policy to complete a background check as a prior condition of employment.
