The History Department of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of African History, beginning August 2012. Area of specialization is open. Teaching responsibilities include upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in specialty and a two-semester survey of Global History Since 1500.
Strong commitment to teaching and scholarship is required. Candidates must have the Ph.D. in History or related field in hand at the time of appointment. Salary competitive.
