OTTOMAN HISTORY. The History Department at Binghamton University, State University of New York, invites applications for an assistant or associate professorship in the history of the Ottoman empire, starting in Fall 2012. Area of specialization is open. Candidates should be prepared to continue the department’s strong tradition in Ottoman history and to offer courses in such fields as Middle Eastern history and modern Turkish history. Candidates must have a PhD in hand by the time of appointment.
