Latin America. The History Department of Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Latin American History to begin in August 2012. Specialization and chronological focus are open, but we especially seek applicants whose research and teaching will contribute to the department’s program in world history and cultures. The department offers an attractive teaching load and strong support for professional development. The successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American history; additionally, s/he will teach the world history survey either before or since 1500. Ph.D. required by date of hire. Located in downtown Atlanta, GSU has one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation.
