Pending expected funding, the History Department of Norfolk State University is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position to teach U.S. history surveys and upper-level undergraduate courses in Colonial/Antebellum U.S. History.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Include teaching a 12-hour course load per semester, counseling students, serving on Departmental committees as needed, and attending required University functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Historian with experience in teaching American history surveys and upper-level undergraduate courses in U.S history. Ph.D. preferred (or anticipated within a year of employment). Strong teaching skills, scholarly orientation and accomplishments, and computer literacy are essential.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
