Visiting Assistant Professor, Medieval Europe

The Department of History of the University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks applicants for a temporary, one-year position as a visiting assistant professor beginning August 2011, in the field of medieval European history.  The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching four classes each semester, including three sections of World Civilizations to 1500. The fourth course each semester will be an upper-division course on a medieval topic to be selected in consultation with the department chair.  The salary for this position is $42,000, plus benefits.  Ph.D. in medieval history by the time of appointment is required; teaching experience and scholarly publications preferred.  The successful applicant will be expected to help support UNO's Medieval/Renaissance Studies Program.
