Muhlenberg College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Early American History to 1820 to begin in August 2011. Teaching fields include Colonial/Revolutionary America, women’s and gender history, Introduction to History, together with advanced courses in the social and cultural history of early America. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. Applicants should submit a cover letter which addresses the candidate’s interest in, knowledge about, and/or experience in teaching at liberal arts colleges, together with a c.v., statement of teaching philosophy, graduate transcripts, and letters of recommendation by February 1, 2011. The department will interview at the OAH.
