Digital and Public History
The History Department of the University of Central Florida invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Digital and Public History beginning in August 2011. Ph.D. in History or related field from an accredited institution is required. Preference is for candidates who can assist the History Department's Public History program, and the department generally, in expanding its offerings in new media (i.e. digital audio and video, websites and webtools, programming, podcasts, databases, etc.). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing new media and technology as applied to the presentation and/or teaching of History and those who have expertise in another area of Public History. Geographic specialty is open, but preference will be given to candidates with a specialty outside of United States History.
