The Department of History at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the history of Britain, 1500-1800, beginning August 2011. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but the position requires completion of all doctoral requirements in history before August 2012. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program, participate in service, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in General Education, European and British history, and the area of his/her specialty.
