The History Department at Missouri State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in African American History. Period and research area are open. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate surveys, as well as upper division undergraduate and graduate courses in African American History. Candidates should have a record of teaching effectiveness and demonstrate scholarly promise. Applicants must have PhD in hand by the beginning of August 2011. Arecord of inclusive conduct and evidence of multicultural skills in the workplace as well as the ability to enhance the African American Studies Program is preferred.
