Assistant Professor, 20th Century World/European History

 The Department of History at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of History.   The successful candidate will teach undergraduate survey courses in Modern European and World History and elective courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.   All specializations will be considered, but preference will be given to Modern Middle East, Asian, African or Latin American history.    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment (Fall 2011), along with clear evidence of teaching effectiveness and an active research agenda.  To apply: send letter of application, c.v., three letters of recommendation, and supporting documentation to Dr. Chris J.
