College of Arts and Sciences - Department of History - Post-Doctoral Fellowship:

The Department of History at East Tennessee State University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in United States History starting August 2010. The position is for one year with a possibility of renewal for a second year. The Department is interested in candidates with broadly conceived research agendas and teaching interests who show evidence of becoming excellent teachers and productive scholars. Advanced ABDs will be considered, but must have Ph.D. in hand by August 2010. The teaching load is 3/3, and will include auditorium US survey courses (with graduate student help for grading) and upper level courses in a subject specialty. The salary is $24,000 plus benefits. Review of applications will begin March 15, 2010 and continue until position is filled.
