The History Department at Colorado College invites applications for a one-year visiting position, at the assistant professor level, in the history of the 19th-century United States for the academic year 2010-2011. The department seeks gifted teachers and scholars who can both encourage historical interest in all students and engage potential historians in research problems. Teaching responsibilities include a survey of U.S. History from 1492 to the present, as well as upper-level electives about the Civil War and Industrializing America.
