Requirements: Expertise in U.S. women’s and gender history as demonstrated by dissertation work and/or research and publications; Ph.D. in History in hand by appointment date. Preference will be given to candidates with college-level teaching experience and those who complement specializations within the department. The successful applicant will be expected to teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in U.S. women’s history and area of specialization as well as freshman survey courses in U.S. History. The appointee will be expected to be active in the development of departmental programs and governance and maintain active research and professional development programs. To be eligible for hire at the associate professor rank, candidate must meet the requirements for that rank as established by the department. Appointment date for the position is 1 Sept. 2010. Salary commensurate with experience. The position will remain open until filled; full consideration will be given to candidates whose applications are complete by 1 March 2010, when evaluations will begin.
