Hood College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of History beginning August 2010. The full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank will teach United States, including 20th-century and social history and will be the sole full-time American historian in a small department. Ability to teach African-American and public history desirable. Teaching experience and scholarly potential required; Ph.D. required by time of appointment. Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching.
