The Department of History at Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 20th century U.S. history. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in U.S. history, scholarly and creative activity leading to publication, and participation in department, college, and university service. Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution or university with appropriate specialization by time of appointment is required. The successful candidate will be asked to develop on-line course offerings or other classes for distance delivery, must have 18 graduate hours for every field in which they will teach and must have the ability to teach both halves of the U.S. survey, teach upper-level undergraduate and M.A. courses effectively, and communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. A research focus that complements and completes department strengths and the ability to teach World History are preferred.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
