The Department of History & Political Science at the University of North Alabama (www.una.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in early American history with a concentration in one or more of the following: Latin-American, African-American, Caribbean, Atlantic Studies (Atlantic world, transnational movements, slave trade and slavery). Teaching responsibilities will include U.S. History surveys, advanced undergraduate courses in the candidate's area(s) of specialty, as well as graduate courses. The successful candidate must possess an active research agenda, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and display a commitment to service.
