The Department of History of the University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks applicants for a temporary, one-semester position for spring 2010 in the field of medieval European history. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching three courses, including two sections of World Civilizations to 1500. The third course will be an upper-division course on a medieval topic to be selected by the person hired, in consultation with the department chair. The salary for this position is $18,000 plus benefits. A Ph.D. in medieval history is the preferred degree, but applicants who are ABD in medieval history will be considered. Teaching experience and publications preferred. The successful applicant will be expected to help support UNO's Medieval/Renaissance Studies Program.
