History: Asia or Pacific Rim, Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning September 2010. Ph.D. required. Applicants with primary field in East Asia will receive closest consideration; applicants with primary field in other regions of Asia or the Pacific Rim will also be considered. A strong vocational commitment to skillful classroom teaching is paramount; enthusiasm for developing a broad range of courses is essential; ability and desire to teach a general education course in modern global history is required; experience or interest in directing students in undergraduate research is highly desirable. Additional expertise or teaching experience in any of the following areas of history will be viewed positively: religion, global economics, global environment, Latin America, Modern Europe. Published research required for tenure.
