The History Department of Norfolk State University is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor position to teach both American history surveys and upper-level undergraduate courses on colonial America.
Responsibilities include teaching a standard course load, scholarship expectations, student advisement, service on Departmental and University-wide committees, and attendance at all required University functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Historian with experience in teaching both American history surveys and upper-level undergraduate course on colonial America. Ph.D. required (or anticipated within a year of employment). Strong teaching skills, scholarship interests, and computer/technology skills are essential.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
