Ohio Wesleyan University, a selective, private liberal arts college located 20 miles north of Columbus, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Medieval and Early Modern European (Continental) history, pending final university approval. Position begins August 2010. Ph.D. in history by June 2010 preferred and strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and scholarship required. Teaching responsibilities will be three courses per semester of introductory and upper level courses in Medieval and Early Modern Continental European history (including upper-level courses in the candidate's field) as well as courses supporting the History Major. Ability to offer an introductory course in Ancient History would be desirable. OWU provides support for faculty research and travel.
