The Department of History and Political Science at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor in U.S. History with a specialization in Civil War and Reconstruction. Successful candidate will teach sections of the U.S. History survey, Civil War and Reconstruction, and develop other upper division courses. Candidates should have a commitment to excellent teaching, college and community service, and demonstrate scholarly potential. A Ph.D. is expected by time of appointment. York College (www.ycp.edu) is a comprehensive college with an enrollment of 4600 full-time students. The campus is located in South-central Pennsylvania (50 miles north of Baltimore and within 20 miles of Gettysburg), and offers competitive salaries and fringe benefits.
