Modern or early modern Asia. The Carnegie Mellon University history department invites applications for a tenure-track historian of Asia (excluding China) at the assistant professor level, beginning fall 2003. Preference will be given to persons holding the PhD at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will teach courses in his or her specialty and participate in the department's world history course.
