The History Department at Wheaton College invites applications for a tenure-track position (assistant/associate professor) in Modern Europe/world history. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Modern Europe and interests that reflect a global perspective. Specific fields of world history or global themes are open. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the area of specialization, as well as in the world history subfield, coordinating the departments team-taught general education course in world history and helping to teach that course. Ph.D. required. The department seeks a gifted teacher/scholar, who shares the ideals of Christian liberal arts education and who can communicate a love for history to bright, motivated undergraduates. The successful candidate will have some administrative skills, evidence of potential in research and publication, as well as the ability to integrate the field of history with the Christian faith.
