The History Department at the University of Tennessee invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Modern Britain and its empire or Modern France and its empire, 1830-1960. The appointment will begin fall semester 2009. Ph.D required at the time of appointment. Duties will include teaching a survey, upper-division courses in the area of specialization, and graduate-student supervision.
