The Department of History at the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in twentieth-century United States history. Fields of specialization open. The successful candidate will teach American Civilization or thematic history surveys as well as specialized courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in area of expertise. Candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarship and the potential for excellence in teaching. Ph.D. in hand by August, 2009.
