Modern England. The history department at Central Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant or associate professorship to begin Fall 2009. Will teach second half of Western Civilization or World History courses at the survey level and advanced undergraduate and graduate level courses in modern English history, including courses in the departments Joint Doctoral Program in Transnational and Comparative History (see our website, http://www.chsbs.cmich.edu/history). Ph.D. in Modern British history required. Successful applicant must demonstrate potential for excellence in both teaching and scholarship. Send letter of application, c.v., transcripts or list of graduate courses, evidence of successful teaching and scholarship, and at least three current letters of reference to Chair, English History Search Committee, Department of History, Central Michigan University, Mt.
