Modern Western Europe with Continental Emphasis. Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning September 2009. Candidates must have a primary field in continental Western European history. Preference is for a specialization in the modern era, post 1789/1815. Candidates must also have a demonstrated ability to teach sections of world history. Secondary field in early modern or medieval Europe desirable. Responsibilities include teaching European and world history survey courses plus additional courses in the candidates areas of expertise. The successful candidate will be able to instruct and interact with an ethnically and culturally diverse student body.
