Medieval/Early Modern Europe. Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Medieval and Early Modern European history, with a focus on the Iberian Peninsula, or France, or Italy. PhD required: 3-2 teaching load: normal class size 15-25 students. Candidates with a secondary field/interest in Latin America; or ancient Greece & Rome; or Womens history are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach both survey and specialty courses in his or her main fields and demonstrate a commitment to both excellent teaching and a solid program of research. Regular participation in the colleges interdisciplinary first-year student seminar is expected of all faculty. Starting date: August, 2009.
