The History Department in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professorship in Modern British History, beginning fall semester 2009. We are seeking applicants with demonstrated excellence in scholarship and teaching. We especially welcome applicants with interests in transnational or trans-regional scholarship, including but not limited to colonialism, migration, global history, and relations among states and peoples.
