Assistant Professor - History/Education: The History Department at the State University of New York College at Cortland is accepting application materials for a tenure track Assistant Professor in History and Secondary Social Studies beginning in Fall 2009. Position involves history instruction, pedagogical training of teacher candidates, and student teacher supervision. Ph.D. in history required within two years of date of appointment. Field of history specialization open. Course load will consist of half teacher education and half history. Secondary social studies experience required either in teaching, outreach to teachers, or teacher training.
