The Department of History, University of Maryland, College Park, seeks to appoint a scholar with a distinguished record of publication and teaching United States legal and/or constitutional history in long nineteenth-century (ca. 1789-1914) at the Associate Professor level. Historians with an interest in comparative or transnational legal history and the expansive field of Law and Society are especially encouraged to apply.
