The Department of Humanities at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History. The successful candidate will be expected to teach one upper division and one graduate course in non-western history and two sections of the candidates preferred half of the U. S. Survey. Non-Western womens, post-colonial, transnational, diasporic, or Atlantic World specialists are encouraged to apply. Effective date is August 23, 2009. Ph.D. required at the time of employment. To guarantee full consideration applications should be received by November 7, 2008.
Candidates are expected to be quality teachers, scholars, and citizens of the academy as demonstrated through a variety of student learning outcomes, refereed publications, external grants, and through service on local and professional committees.
