Early Modern European History. The History Department at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in early modern European history, to begin autumn 2009. Scholars working on any aspect of the social, political, cultural, or economic history of Europe during the period 1350-1650 are eligible; scholarly originality and intellectual breadth are especially sought. Applicants with Ph.D. in hand preferred, but we will consider outstanding students who will complete the degree by September 2009.
