Modern British History. The Department of History at Northwestern University invites applications for an open rank professorship in modern British history, 1700-present. Teaching will include modern British history surveys as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses and supervision in the area of specialty. Candidates should demonstrate excellence or the promise of excellence in scholarship and teaching. PhD in hand preferred.
