Harvard Divinity School seeks a senior scholar of North American religious history, broadly construed, to fill a named Chair in American Religious History. Candidates may be specialists in any particular aspect of the field, and in any chronological period.
In addition to an active program of scholarly research, candidates should have the ability to teach and advise at the doctoral and master's levels, including the M.Div. program, and must be familiar with forms of analysis that address race, gender, and social location. The successful candidate will teach students in the Divinity School, as well as undergraduates and graduate students of religion in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
