Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in sub-Saharan African history to begin in the fall semester of 2009. Candidates should have completed the Ph.D. by the start of their appointment. Send a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, a chapter-length sample of scholarship, evidence of teaching qualifications, and three letters of reference to Professor Donald C. Jackson, Search Committee Chair, Department of History, Lafayette College, Easton, PA 18042. Application materials are due by October 1. Interviews will take place in November at the African Studies Association conference in Chicago.
