MODERN ISLAMIC WORLD/WORLD HISTORY. Montana State University-Bozeman invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in African or Middle Eastern Islamic world history, pending funding. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach introductory world history courses, offer upper-level courses in the candidates areas of expertise, and contribute to the departments MA and PhD offerings. The department particularly welcomes applications from candidates interested in environmental, ethnic, gender, and/or post-colonial studies, but the geographical focus is more important than the specific research field. PhD in History required by start date, evidence of effective teaching, and ability to conduct independent research required.
