Modern United States history

Modern United States. The UCLA History Department seeks this year to fill the first of what will be several positions in United States History. This position will be for a tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor whose research focuses chronologically on late 19th or 20th century America. Candidates with interests in cultural, environmental, labor, and urban history are especially encouraged to apply. The deadline for receiving applications is December 9, 2005. We will begin reviewing applications immediately thereafter and will continue searching until the position is filled. We will conduct interviews at the Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association in Philadelphia. UCLA is an AA/EOE.
