The Memorial Center of Western Santa Catarina (CEOM/Unochapecó), Brazil, is an institute established in 1986, with the aim to preserve, disseminate, valorize and research the history and cultural patrimony pertaining to Brazil, and particularly the Western Territories of Santa Catarina State.
CEOM, now with over 28 years’ of activity, research and archiving of evidence constituting a detailed, yet complex, Brazilian history and identity, has maintained a publication entitled “Cadernos do CEOM” which was created the very year when democratic initiatives and strategies intensified in Brazil. It is precisely with the intention to preserve and indeed promote the importance of anthropology, ethnicity, art, archeology and cultural history that we kindly invite your contribution to an edition of the Cadernos entitled “Rural and Urban Memories”.
