St Mary's University Creative Writing Masters, First Novel, is still open to a small number of applications for entrance in 2014. Applications for attendance on this postgraduate degree should be made now.
Write your first novel in London, with the help of tutors who are published authors, and visiting lecturers who are among the most exciting new authors in Britain today. Costa Novel Award winner Nathan Filer, author of international bestseller, Shock of The Fall, will be just one of the authors visiting students.
St Mary's University is a leafy, 19th century campus, located on the banks of the River Thames, minutes away from Richmond Town centre and 30 minutes by train into central London. The University is among the top 15 in the UK when rated for teaching excellence, and our tutors pride themselves on the personal attention given to students. Accomodation is available on campus for international students.
Across five modules, you will be guided as you write the first draft of your novel, and assessed on the progress of that draft throughout the year of study. Our tutors specialise in both genre and literary fiction, and will help you realise whatever your creative potential suggests.
To express an interest and begin the process of application, you can contact programme director david savill, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The University hopes to complete the applications process by the end of June.
