We would like to inform you that the application process for the Master’s degree in Politics and Economics of Contemporary Eastern and South Eastern Europe for the academic year 2014/2015 is still open.
The programme offers up to thirty places annually. Applicants are advised to make their application as soon as possible in order to ensure place availability (http://mabsos.uom.gr/requirements).
The MA in the Politics and Economics of Contemporary Eastern and South Eastern Europe aims at offering a comprehensive analysis of both political and economic development in the region, emphasising the interrelation between the two, and setting the institutional and social context of the region. In doing so the programme prepares students for careers in business, government, NGOs, and international organizations operating in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, and it strengthens the skills and deepens the specialized knowledge of people already following such careers. Most of our alumni have already find employment in these areas. One of the important advantages of the programme is that, in addition to normal coursework, students have the option of taking an Eastern European language at introductory, intermediate or advanced level. Knowledge of the region’s languages adds richly to our alumni employability.
Also, the programme is designed to prepare students for PhD study as well. Our best alumni are already conducting their doctoral research at prestigious European and international universities.
Moreover, we would like to inform you of the possibility of applying for the Double Masters programme that we organize in cooperation with the University of Bamberg and with support of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). For more information on this programme please visit http://mabsos.uom.gr/students-corner.
Our students are coming from all around the world. Most of them are from the Balkans, Eastern Europe or Greece but we always have students from Western Europe, USA, Asia and Africa.
I would appreciate greatly if you could inform your students and, also, your colleagues on our Master’s programme.
