The 1st Leuphana Open Course in Political Philosophy on “Global Justice” will take place at Leuphana University Lüneburg/Germany, July 14 (morning) – 16 (afternoon), 2014. The course will be taught by Mathias Risse (Harvard University). It is mainly aimed at professional philosophers and advanced graduate students. Highly motivated and talented undergraduates are also welcome.
Participants will have an opportunity to discuss Mathias Risse's recent book "On Global Justice" (Princeton University Press) which is an attempt to offer a unified theory of topics such as distributive justice, fairness in trade, human rights, obligations to future generations and immigration.
Attendance is free, but limited to 30 participants – on the basis of motivation and qualification. Online application is possible through May 15. Soon after the deadline, we will inform you about the success of your application.
