The Southern Historical Association’s Numan V. Bartley Award, which supports research on southern historical topics by faculty at community colleges and other two-year colleges, will be awarded this year, in amounts ranging from $1500 to $5000. Applicants should be full-time faculty members and current SHA members. Applications should include a full c.v., a two-page description of the project to be funded, a proposed budget or description of how the award would be used, and the names and contact information of two references. Applications for the award should be submitted in a single file via e-mail to Sheree Dendy, email@example.com, at the SHA office by June 1, 2014.
