Now there’s a new alternative to summer teaching and retail work: the new Young Scholars Research Assistantship created by the Institute for Humane Studies. The Assistantship is open to 1st and 2nd year graduate students in PhD programs and it offers an extraordinary opportunity to do research with a scholar during the summer in the humanities or social science field of your choice.
$3000 Stipend And More!
In addition to gaining more research experience early in your academic career and the chance of co-authoring an article, the Assistantship provides a $3000 stipend. Participants will also receive an invitation to attend one of our summer or fall programs, such as the IHS Summer Research Colloquium at Chapman University.
