LEARN NC at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill is pleased to announce a new bundle of courses titled "America on the World Stage" that addresses the urgent need for students to understand the emergence of the United States' power and prestige in relation to world events. Based on the OAH publication of the same title, each of these ten courses will focus on an inquiry-based approach to globalizing the American history narrative through key benchmark topics. Ideal for US history teachers and world history teachers at the middle and secondary levels as well as media center specialists and other curriculum support staff.
Take one of these courses – or several from the bundle – and learn how to globalize your American history curriculum through inquiry and investigation. On-site professional development trainings are also available to support each online course through a hands-on, media-rich workshop.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please get in touch with Andy Mink for more details.
