The conference theme investigates "sharing" of multimedia documents and scientific knowledge on oral heritage with the people who feel represented by it. It explores both sharing as a method for constructing multimedia documents and sharing of multimedia documents that were initially produced within the academic community. Moreover, it will be explored to what extent these documents can be institutionalized, in archives and museums, without transforming into political representations of hegemonic groups or without being strongly tainted by them.
